The �������� film program will host directors and producers on campus in February to discuss their work as part of the Director Showcase Series. The series, which runs Feb. 10 -14, will include film screenings and a question and answer session with the artist.

The sessions, which are free and open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Nims Theatre at the Performing Arts Center.

Monday, Feb. 10: “Lost Bayou,” from New Orleans-based director by Brian C. Miller Richard. Richard and producer Kenneth Reynolds will attend for a post-screening discussion. Synopsis: “A struggling addict ventures into the Louisiana swamps to reconnect with her estranged faith healer father, only to discover he is hiding a troubling secret aboard his houseboat.” Runtime: 87 minutes.

Tuesday, Feb. 11: “All Skin Folk Ain’t Kinfolk,” a short documentary by New Orleans-based filmmaker and Tulane University professor Angela Tucker. Synopsis: “After a contentious race, the runoff for mayor of New Orleans came down to two candidates: Desirée Charbonnet and LaToya Cantrell, two very different black women. The winner of this election would take office as the first female mayor of New Orleans and the city's fourth black mayor. Through news footage, campaign advertisements and archival audio and video, “All Skinfolk Ain't Kinfolk” is the unprecedented story of this mayoral runoff told through the eyes of black women living in this city.”
Tucker will discuss her work after the screening. Runtime: 21 minutes.

Thursday, Feb. 13: “Santa Jaws,” a sci-fi directed by Misty Talley. Synopsis: “Trying to survive the family Christmas, Cody makes a wish to be alone, which ends up backfiring when a shark manifests and kills his entire family. Runtime: 96 minutes. Discussion session to follow with Talley.

Friday, Feb. 14: Producer Srdjan Stakic will screen two projects: “Valley Slice” and “Family Style.”

Synopsis: With a runtime of 24 minutes, “Valley Slice,” Season 1, Episode 1 features “a ragtag group of youngsters working at the only late-night pizza delivery joint in the psychically charged Valley on the outskirts of Los Angeles, and must overcome strange sci-fi, mystical and drug-induced forces to make and drop off their steaming hot pizzas.”

“Family Style,” brings foodies and their famous friends together to explore Eastern delicacies, “with a steamy side of hot topic commentary.” Runtime: 14:16.  Discussion session to follow with Stakic.
