ÑÇÖÞÎÞÂë St. Claude Gallery Exhibits Artist Collaborations and Couplings in "Making It"
Romantic couplings and artist collaborations are the focus of an upcoming exhibition at the ÑÇÖÞÎÞÂë St. Claude Gallery.
"Making It" is a show about artist couples and collaborations, said Kathy Rodriguez, gallery director. Contributing artists "show the ways in which two people influence each other's artistic practices."
The show runs from Saturday, Aug. 10 to Sept. 1, 2013 at the gallery, located at 2929 St. Claude Ave. The gallery hosts an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10. Regular gallery hours are held from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Exhibiting artists include ÑÇÖÞÎÞÂë Artist-In-Residence Ariya Martin, ÑÇÖÞÎÞÂë fine arts instructor Tony Campbell and Rodriguez, who is a fine arts instructor and research specialist at ÑÇÖÞÎÞÂë. Also participating are ÑÇÖÞÎÞÂë MFA students Peter Hoffman, Natalie McLaurin, undergraduate alumna Sylvia Santamaria and ÑÇÖÞÎÞÂë alumni Kevin Baer, Ryn Wilson and Rachel Deris. Joining in artist collaborations are local artists Michael Winter, Ben Fox-McCord, Matthew Kirscht, Rachel, Christopher Deris and Matt Vis (as Generic Art Solutions).
Works will include photography, installation, drawings, sculpture and painting.
