We've grown from a small, regional campus to the only public Carnegie-ranked research institution in New Orleans. But that doesn't mean we're resting. Far from it. We continually push ourselves to deliver unique opportunities and top-rated programs relevant to growing industries—from urban studies to our hotel, restaurant, and tourism program, to accounting programs. Because we seize the opportunities that surround us, we are also uniquely positioned to offer one of the most well-known naval architecture and marine engineering programs and one of the top film programs in the nation. Writing Style

The most important things to keep in mind when writing for the �������� brand are:

• Consider your audience. There are a number of stakeholders that every university must communicate with: students, parents, donors, faculty, administration, staff, and other influencers. Always remember to approach your audience with what’s “in it for them.” Lead with the benefit to them. Make the communication about their needs and how �������� can help them.
• Be authentic. This might seem easy enough but there are a number of watch-outs that fall under this point: Don’t make promises that the University can’t keep. Don’t talk down to your audience. Don’t assume. Don’t use jargon or overly complex language. Don’t shout (you can brag but don’t be cocky—that can come off as defensive).
